This Senna guide will give you also an understanding on how to beat Senna. The upcoming LoL Senna Support Build is the most popular build picked by many Pros.
Pregame Build
In champion select you need to choose your Senna runes and summoner spells. The best Senna Support Runes 14.23 are Resolve as the primary path and Precision as the secondary path. The most supportive Senna keystone rune is Grasp of the Undying. Flash and Heal are the summoner spells, which fits this LoL Senna Build the most.
Item Build on Senna
The starter items for the best Senna Build on patch 14.23 are Health Potion, Health Potion, World Atlas, and a Stealth Ward as the trinket. As the game progresses, the most popular Senna items are Black Cleaver and Rapid Firecannon. Boots of Swiftness are the most bought Senna boots by Pros. This Senna Build will vastly increase your chances to gain LP and to climb the leaderboard in LoL.
Laning Phase
Laning with this Senna Build usually depends on what her support can do for her in lane. Bot is a two player lane, so it can be quite hard to generalise how to play in every matchup. That being said, there are some things that you should aim to do in almost every game.
Senna loves short trades where she is able to yoink a soul from her opponent and back away to safety. Paired with a high damage, crowd control focused support, Senna is able to take strong trades with the ability to follow up on CC with Last Embrace. Playing with supports such as these can make it incredibly hard for your opponents to take advantage of Senna’s otherwise quite weak early phase.
Team Fights
Senna plays a more passive role in team fights, usually auto-attacking the closest target to her while weaving in her abilities, trying not to overextend or risk getting caught out of position. The outcome of a fight can be decided by how well you utilise Senna’s Dawning Shadow. If it blocks a ton of damage from, say, an Orianna’s Command: Shockwave for example, it was likely very well utilised.
Knowing when and how to use Dawning Shadow comes down to how well you understand the current game state. Most often, you’ll use it to help your team soak up damage during the engage to help get the fight started, and other times you may use it mid-fight to finish off a low health opponent, or to shield a team member for a clutch save. It really all depends on the state of the game and heat of the moment decision making.
This Senna Build also gives your team the option of chasing fleeing enemies, or aiding your team in escaping a fight thanks to Curse of the Black Mist. The movement speed increase can be a huge difference maker in these instances.
Senna Abilities
At the beginning of a match start to skill the ability Piercing Darkness on Senna. As the match progresses, it is best to maximise Piercing Darkness into Last Embrace and at last Curse of the Black Mist. Piercing Darkness is a very strong ability of Senna in order to build up a lead and dominate your opponents. The passive is called Absolution and there is no need to set it manually on a Senna Build.
When units die near Senna, their souls are periodically trapped by the Black Mist. Senna can attack these souls to free them, absorbing the Mist that held them in death. Mist fuels her Relic Cannon's power with increased Attack Damage, Attack Range, and Critical Strike Chance.
Attacks from Senna's Relic Cannon take longer to fire, deal bonus damage, and briefly grant her a portion of her target's Move Speed.
